A very warm welcome to Skirlaugh CE Primary School.

It is a privilege to welcome you to our wonderful school community. At Skirlaugh, children are at the heart of everything we do. We are a school where every child is known, valued and celebrated, and where we strive to create an environment in which children feel happy, safe and inspired to learn.

Our Christian vision, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart” (Colossians 3:23), guides us in everything we do. We encourage every child to Be Brave, Be Kind and Be Your Best — to approach challenges with courage, show kindness and compassion to others, and take pride in their achievements.

We have high aspirations for all our children and are committed to providing a rich, ambitious and inclusive curriculum that nurtures curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. At the same time, we believe that primary school should be filled with joy, friendship, laughter and memorable experiences.

Our dedicated staff work closely with families to ensure that every child feels a strong sense of belonging and is supported to flourish. We are proud of the warmth, kindness and community spirit that make Skirlaugh such a special place.

I hope our website gives you a glimpse of the happiness, ambition and care that define our school. We would be delighted to welcome you for a visit and show you what makes Skirlaugh CE Primary School so special.

With warm wishes,

Mrs C Pitois
