Flexible Provision
We welcome children to attend our setting from their third birthday. All nursery pupils are able to access 15 hours of free provision per week from the term after their third birthday; some families may be entitled to 30 hours of free provision, which can also be accommodated. If children wish to join in the time between their third birthday and their funding becoming available, there will be a charge for sessions.
Our setting offers flexibility in provision, and children may attend full or half days of your choosing. Our session times are as follows:
Full days: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Mornings: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Should you wish your child to remain in school until the end of the school day, 3:30pm, there will be an additional charge for this session. Please contact the school office for further information relating to your individual circumstances.
An Enabling Environment
Our EYFS classroom has been recently refurbished to create a calm and purposeful environment for children to learn within. We have a number of specifically designed areas which support aspects of the EYFS curriculum such as writing, maths, expressive arts and design and physical development alongside sand pits, water areas, construction resources and role play areas. Our areas of provision are cosy and inviting, and purposefully laid out to allow the children to make links between their areas of learning. We also benefit from the use of an additional classroom space as a quiet place for children to work in during group times.
We also have a small classroom-style space which allows children in reception to access more structured teaching sessions. In addition to this, we are continuing to invest in developing our extensive outdoor area. However, already, it provides a number of facilities including an adventure playground,water play and access to scooters and bikes.
Admissions
Reception Admissions
For admission to reception, for pupils who will turn 5 in the next academic year, parents should apply for a place following East Riding of Yorkshire Council process. Nursery Admissions
We offer flexible nursery provision for children immediately following their third birthday. Children are welcome to join our nursery at any point throughout the year, however, please note that your child's FEE (free-early-education) entitlement will not be available until the term after their third birthday.
Parents may reserve their child's place in our nursery at any point. In the first instance, parents should complete the expression of interest form which is available to download below. Your child's place will then be confirmed within 14 days.
The term before your child is due to start in our nursery, you will receive a further admissions pack to complete which provides us with more up-to-date information about your child. You will also be invited to book two, free, 2 hour taster sessions for your child to come and settle in to our setting prior to starting; you are welcome to stay with them for these sessions.
