Flexible Nursery Provision

At Skirlaugh CE Primary School a child can attend Nursery (FS1) the term following their third birthday and access 15 hours of free provision per week. The sessions are 3 hours long, but parents are able to pay for additional hours if they need more than 15 hours per week or for cover at lunch time, depending on availability and staffing ratios.

From September 2017 some parents may qualify for 30 hours free provision per week. If this applies to you then we may be able to offer you the 30 hours in our setting subject to availability.

We offer full flexible nursery provision with a morning session from 9.00am to 12.00pm, an afternoon session from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and a lunch cover for the period 12.00 to 12.30pm at a cost of £2.00 per session.

We are able to offer parents whatever attendance pattern they wish for the FS1 children but if attendance numbers exceed 30, (FS1 + FS2) in any one session we may have to decline a request as sessions are offered on a first come first served basis.

The sessions are charged at £12 and bring in a good amount of income that helps towards extra staffing costs.  We can also accept any admissions for FS2 that may come to us through the year.

If you receive childcare vouchers, you will be able to use them as payment for childcare. For further information or to discuss an application please contact Miss Stevenson.
